I am a big fan of free downloads and I this is why I have a lot of ‘clutter’ in my laptop memory. I never had to fret about having it all crash down because I was very confident with the Apple memory that the unit had. But I have to admit that I didn’t know much about how memory worked then so I relentlessly downloaded stuff into my laptop. Little did I know that, that was what was causing the sluggish performance and it always required me to restart. I thought about upgrading but had qualms since it might affect the warranty if I do the Mac memory upgrade myself (just couldn’t have it away at the shop for too long). Tech support informed that as long as the process doesn’t cause damage to the unit, my warranty was safe and usable. I purchased an expansion kit online and now I have more space for downloads!
